The sun's rays slowly slipping behind the horizon line, ending another day in peaceful day in the harbor. On the beach, the chilly spring air- really, it was prefect day. He's dreams are coming true, his parents been doing well in the city as the letters he was getting stated, and oddly enough, nothing happen to give him a sour taste in his mouth. While he still needed to discuss the details, prepare his move to his and Emma's new house, and everything, not even an ounce of stress hounded him. Life was good. Everything was good. Yet, as day's last fleeting rays disappeared, and he was left with himself, little ukulele resting beside him, the waves and his thoughts. It was getting dark, but don't worry- he had his flashlight, and just wanted to stick around longer. The stars were coming out, and Ze just wanted to see if he was lucky enough to catch a star before he had to make his way back home and finish up packing his boxes, maybe make something sweet, before going to sleep. Hmmm... mind's not giving me much to think about. Maybe a song? " Upon the hill across a blue lake...~" He breathed out quietly, closing his bright green eyes as he listened to the crash of the waves that was not too far away, " that's where I had my first heartbreak... Hm, what came after that...?" He mused to himself, not expecting anyone to answer him.

Pip hadn't had much time to explore Pastora since she had arrived in the little town roughly twenty four hours ago, which had put a little damper on her mood to say the least. Being the social person she was, the young woman had not enjoyed being cut off from society all because of work, however necessary it might have been to clean up the building that would serve as her shop, or send the order forms in to get the animals and stock items, or to come up with a floor plan and do various other things that were essential to starting up her business. But now all of that was done and over with for the time being -much to her relief- which meant that she could finally go out and see what her new home had to offer... Even if it was getting dark out. Figuring that the little settlement couldn't possibly be more dangerous than the city at night, the energetic twenty one year old had paid no mind to the hour at hand when she locked the door to her home and started to walk down the street. Phillipa didn't really have any sort of idea as to where she wanted to go, although even if she did, the chances of her getting to her destination were a little less than zero, thanks to her complete unfamiliarity with Pastora. Then again, her sense of direction was awful, so Pip had a funny feeling that even if she was equipped with a map and a compass that she wouldn't be able to find her way.
So, completely ignorant of the fact that she was probably going to have some problems getting back to the street on which she lived -which she had already forgotten the name of- Pip continued on with her trek, hoping to find someone to talk to. Luck didn't seem to be on her side, however, for the streets were as empty as... as... Well, something that was very empty- something that Pip wasn't really in the mood to remember or think up. With a quick shake of her head, she dismissed any sort of deep thoughts, focusing solely on enjoying her little evening adventure. Still, it was a little difficult for her to have as much fun as she'd have liked, probably due to the lack of companionship. The young woman liked to be around people a lot, and in her opinion, even having one buddy to hang out with made things a thousand times more entertaining. Of course, having been cooped up for a day or two probably wasn't helping with that craving to talk to somebody.
After awhile, Pip had almost given up on getting to meet anyone, but then she heard something. It was quiet, and her keen ears barely caught it over the sound of the waves crashing into the shoreline, which she assumed was nearby. Curiosity piqued, the small girl began to make her way over to where she had thought the sound had come from. The silhouette of another person came into view soon after she had neared the harbor, and a huge grin broke across Pip's face. Finally, she had found another person! Spirits lifted, she began to make her way over to the stranger, a slight spring in her step as she did so.
"Hey!" Pip called out when she decided that she was close enough to be heard over the rather noisy water. Once upon a time, she would have simply walked right up behind the stranger and said hi, but as she had learned in the city, people didn't like to be "snuck up" on (not that she would classify it as such, but others most certainly did) like that. "Nice evening, yeah?" She added as she drew even nearer. "Can see the stars and everything. Couldn't even see the night sky in the city."

It was habit really- a pesky one, but that's a curse of someone who mind was just... well, unfocused as his. A rare sight would it be for him to actually remember a song from start to finish, but atlas, not the case here. Even the name escapes him. Gosh, he hated it when that happen- it was on the tip of his tongue but... " My father saiddd... don't you worry...umm, don't you worry--- !" His voice was a bit louder this time, and out of tiny frustration, took his ukulele, about to take a strum of it when- hm? Who out this late? He whipped around, hearing the friendly greeting and seeing a girl- she was a girl right? That what Ze judged from her voice, but none the less, smiled and gave a cheerful wave. Ah, there's the Wallace's Gullibility! A person approaching him, at night, and he greets them a welcoming face- honestly, growing up in Pastora Valley, gave him a closed sense that everyone was... well good. "Mmhmm, pretty nice night out for early Spring, ain't it?" He said, sitting up and patting the ground beside him, "Yeah... quite beautiful." Ze said, yawning a bit and stretching himself, while grazing up. Wait... is she from the city? Hmm, interesting! "Really? Weird... I can't imagine not seeing stars at night- well, unless its a cloudy night, then it makes sense. Or one of those thunderstorms hit. Or something... else? Not sure what else could there block the stars out!" He said, rambling on a bit actually- the brunette though, caught himself at the end and coughed into his fist. "...Uh, I'm Ze. Might I have the pleasure knowing your name, Missus?"

The friendly wave and welcoming expression on the man's face was all that Phillipa needed to see before she went and sat down rather ungracefully beside him, opting to cross her legs and rest her elbows on her knees. Her back was far from being straight, and had her mother been there, the twenty one year old had no doubt that she would have gotten a knuckle forcefully run down her spine in order to make her stop slouching... Ah, the perks of being away from one's family. But relatives -immediate or not- weren't really on the list of things to think about this particular night. Talking with this stranger, however, was a completely different matter.
"Yeah, no kidding!" She agreed, still grinning like before. "Nice and dry too... I don't think I've gotten stuck in a pool of mud or had my shoes soaked through by puddles yet." She added, frowning slightly as she recalled past springs, in which she had often spent much of her day with cold, wet feet because of the expansive puddles and rather large mud pits that she would trudge through. The fact that she had a dislike for any kinds of shoes that didn't fall under the sneakers and sandals categories certainly didn't help, though, nor did her insistence to walk through whatever obstacles were on the path, as opposed to just going around them... Not that Pippa would ever consider either of those, however.
"Yep. What with all the light pollution, you'd be lucky if you could make out the actual colour of the night sky." She commented, continuing on to the next topic at hand concerning the sky. She listened as the young man beside her listed off things that could block the stars, and grinned, for she had another thing to add to it. "Skyscrapers and those ridiculously tall buildings'll block out the stars too... I don't suppose you've gotta worry about those kinds of things around here, though!" She said with a chuckle, actually quite pleased about the lack of the aforementioned gargantuan buildings. Really, it wasn't necessary -in Pip's mind, that was- to build such monsters, for there was no way anyone could use all of that space at once. Or so she thought, anyway. Having never been inside of one of those kinds of buildings, she had based most of her opinions on what she had heard and seen instead.
Those thoughts were pushed aside when the person beside him introduced himself as 'Ze', and asked for her name, which she promptly gave. "I'm Phillipa. You can call me Pip or Pippa though, if you'd like. Or even Phil. Anyway, it's nice to meet you, Ze!" She said with a grin, and held out a hand in case he wanted to shake hands or something, which Pip had observed to be an act that most people did after introducing themselves. She wasn't sure why it was like that, just that it was... And since fighting social convention never seemed to work, she figured it was best to stick with it (or at least, what she knew of it).

Ze smiled, a small chuckle escaping his lips, noting that the girl was casual and not at all nit-picky about sitting on the ground. Not that he's judging. It was more-so, he met his fair share of girls that were... well, they were as willing to slouch or let alone sit on the sandy beach. His potential friend radar was going off, and sitting up, he turned his attention to the blond girl. "Pollution? Man... well, I heard that the cities's air were bad but... really?" He frowned, and cupped his chin in thought, "I can't imagine really, living without seeing the stars at night... well, I mean, not every night is okay, but that's just weird to think about not being able to see them. And nope. Hopefully stays like that- I actually enjoy seeing the stars~!" He chuckled. Now that he thought about it, his parents lived in the city... and his sister, too. Well, he could bet that his mother wouldn't enjoy not seeing the stars- because of her, really, he gotten into the happen to go star-grazing at times. Sure, he had a phobia of the water and being in it- obviously, he sat a good couple of feet away from rolling waves- but the beach was really the best place to go in his opinion. "Oh, Oh! Can I call you Pippy, if you don't mind?" He chirped, and shook her hand happily. It was a bit formal, but that was fine- he already induced that she was easygoing, and wouldn't worry much about being careful around her. "So your new to town, Pippy? Heh, I don't really remember seeing your face around this parts- but then again, then been a swarm of new people moving in." He continued cheerfully, and let his hand fall to his side, "And if you are, welcome to Pastora Valley! I run the local Cafe with a friend of mines, Caffe Latte, heh." Ze brighten, really wasn't his intent to advertise but it wouldn't hurt to drop a hint, eh? "If you ever want to, you can always stop by~!"
