Although she's fairly lax with nicknames and the like, she hates it when she gets called "Pippy" or some other variation of her name that ends with a "y" sound, and is liable to yell at the person who dared to call her such a thing. AGE: Twenty one. GENDER: Female. SEXUALITY: Pip is pansexual, meaning that a person's biological gender and the gender they consider themselves to be is irrelevant in whether or not she is attracted to them. PLAYBY: Rachel- Baccano! OTHER INFORMATION HISTORY: It all began on a particularly miserable and snowy day when a young lady found herself stranded at the bus stop without a way to get home. It was by chance that a coworker of hers happened to drive by and recognize her, and then pull over and offer her a ride like the gentleman he was. Despite the dangers generally associated with getting in cars with people you don't know very well, the lady -who's name was Laila- decided it was worth the risk, so she took him up on his offer (although, her proficiency in Tae Kwon Doe might have had something to do with her following through with something that was generally considered foolish). It was a fairly uneventful ride back to Laila's apartment, and at the end, she thanked him and bid the man farewell, assuming that she would probably never talk to him again unless work required it. Oh boy, was she ever wrong. For the man, who was named Eric, was rather smitten with Laila, despite having only spent a whole twenty minutes in her presence, and sought her out the next day, wondering if she would like to have coffee with him. Seeing no reason to decline, she accepted, and everything escalated steadily from there. Within two years, Laila and Eric were happily married, living together, and expecting their first child. Said child came about nine months later, and this child was indeed Phillipa. She was a happy baby for the most part, and much to her parents' relief, she actually slept through most of the night as opposed to waking up and crying at random intervals. She grew up into a healthy young girl, and became an older sister at the age of five when her little brother Gregory came along. Things were going wonderfully for the family, and it seemed as if life couldn't get better... And it did, at some points, but at other times, it decided to take a corner too fast or suddenly drop down without warning, as it did for just about everybody. See, Pip, although a little eccentric and blissfully ignorant in the ways of social customs, did not have any particularly tragic events occur in her lifetime. Yes, there was the ever saddening deaths of grandparents (and one great-grandparent), and of course, the passing of the fish and little rodents that she and her brother called their pets, but those things generally happen to everyone. There was nothing remarkable, nothing extraordinary about Phillipa Trigg’s life, which was just fine and dandy by her. Now, like a vast majority of children, Pip was fascinated by animals, and as she grew older, that obsession did not change at all. She would often stop by the pet store on her way home from school and look in through the window at all the cute little animals that populated the place, wishing that she could take one home with her. However, Eric was against the idea of having any animal bigger than a guinea pig, fearful that they might tear up the house (which was ridiculous, in Pip’s opinion). However, right from the start, she knew that there was no way that she would be able to be a vet; one, the thought of poking around a creature’s insides made her stomach churn, and two, she was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to handle seeing all the sick and possibly dying animals… Or have to put them down. So at the tender age of fourteen, standing outside the local pet shop, Pip made a firm decision. She was going to start up her own pet shop when she grew up. The fantastic thing? She stuck with it. Instead of just lingering outside the shop, she began to actually venture in to it, asking all sorts of questions on the topic and just getting to know the people (and animals) there. She started researching on her own as well, and after a few years of this, it became clear that this wasn’t just another phase of hers. For once, Pip was dead serious about something, and continued to follow it through. When she was old enough, she applied for a job at the pet store that started it all, and managed to snag it as well, much to her relief and joy. However, everything seems to come with a catch, and this was no exception. Pip ended up hitting a road block on the road to post-secondary education due to her unsatisfactory grades. Now, no degree was needed to open a pet shop, and she knew that full well, but it would have been helpful to get one in the area of business, at least. But there wasn’t much she could do to change that, and there was no way that she was going to go back to high school, as it would take more than a so-called victory lap to bring her marks up to the academic standard. So instead, she started poking around, trying to find a place with as little competition as possible. It took her awhile, but eventually, she found it in the form of a little flyer advertising the town of Pastora. Despite the smaller size of the community, she felt that she would be able to set up a good establishment there, and so, without warning, she left her current life behind to chase after a future that was a little more than likely to crash into the ground and burn. But hey, sometimes taking risks, however drastic, were necessary… And Phillipa was never one to think with her head on these sorts of matters anyway. FEARS:
