PERSONAL INFORMATION NICKNAMES: Jaybird, Rapunzel, Alex, Jay AGE: 21 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Homosexual PLAYBY: Jack Vessalius (Pandora Hearts)
PERSONALITY INFORMATION POSITIVE: - Vivacious: Most of the time, Alex is practically bursting at the seams with energy. Spirited and always with a smile on his face, he's like a ray of sunshine. But, then again, that's most of the time. It's just physically not possible for someone to be cheery twenty-four-seven. He's allowed to have his occasional bad moods.
- Caring: You couldn't grow flowers if you weren't a caring person deep down and Alex is no exception. He's attentive to the needs that people close to him might have and, if there's something he can do, you can bet that he'll do it. Although he does seem to care more about the flowers that he's nurturing rather than, y'know, actual people. His priorities aren't exactly what you'd expect.
- Cheeky: Very cheeky. Especially around the male gender. Some pay him no mind and just think he's being his playful, sunny self But then, there's times, when Alex can push it with his, perhaps inappropriate, suggestive comments. Just clip him around the ear and, voilá, that should do.
- Friendly: Who doesn't like friends? Alex would drown himself in friends if he could. He always up for getting to know new people or hanging out with the people he already knows.
- Meticulous: Alex pays a ton of attention to detail. He's precise and very careful with what he takes upon himself to do. Sometimes to the point of obsessing over it. If something can be perfect, that means it has be perfect; Alex won't accept anything less. So what if he's a perfectionist? That doesn't exactly have to be a bad thing.
- Free: There's a strong, independent spirit inside Alex. If you tell him to do something which he doesn't want to do, don't expect him to do it. He naturally leans away from what could be considered "normal" or "socially accepted", as a flower would in a sudden, gentle breeze.
- Clean: Despite tending to plants as a profession, this guy is a clean freak. Probably comes with being an obsessive perfectionist. He can't stand being in a room that has clothes rumpled on the floor or plates in the sink or mug rings on the table. This maybe isn't a good thing but Alex sees it as something positive?
- Curious: Alex is inquisitive by nature. He loves sticking his nose in absolutely everywhere, invited to or not. Questions, questions, questions. He has them all. Nosy and meddlesome, Alex just loves a good gossip while he's tending to customers.
- Creative: Ever since a young kid, Alex has had an artistic flair about him. It shows in his clothes, in his ideas and in his quirky personality. He plays the acoustic guitar religiously every evening
to his audience of flowers and enjoys turning simple bouquets into real works of art that he's torn about actually selling.
- Affectionate: Alex is like a cat when it comes to affection. He loves curling up with people, playing with his braid, being warm, wrapped up snugly and being given all sorts of love. He's very touchy-feely and, really, what are these so-called "personal boundaries" that people have?
NEGATIVE: - Dramatic: Drama queen. That's what Alex is. He can't not blow things way out of proportion. He can't help it. It just... happens. Everyone's a little bit emotional and Alex is just a bit more than most.
- Short-Tempered: Sure, sure, Alex is a optimistic, merry, young man with an affable smile. But, behind his blithe demeanour he hides a very short fuse. It doesn't take a lot to push Alex to his limit and when it happens, yeah, you'll know. He snaps loudly and his bitchiness rears its catty head. He likes to throw and push things in his temper too. But violence? Never. His got weedy arms and bruises like a peach!
- Cowardly: Big chicken. *cluck cluck cluck* Alex tries his best to keep away from sticky situations which could potentially end in physical fights or something similar. Quite a lot of things spook him too, being skittish like he is. If you frighten him though, he'll jump, startle, then turn around and give you a sample of just how colourful his vocabulary can be when he's annoyed.
- Self-Centered: You can surround yourself in friends but you know who you've got to watch out for in the end? Número uno. Alex is caring, patient and all these good, positive things but, let's face it, he has his selfish moments. He doesn't like to share his favourite things and you'll really have to be one of his most liked people if he shares sweets with you.
- Whiner: This probably comes from being dramatic. Alex moans and gripes like there's no tomorrow. If there's something hurting him, he'll let you know, if he doesn't like the weather, he'll let you know, if he's hungry, he'll let you know. And he'll most likely demand that you do something about it too.
- Impulsive: Yes. Just yes. Alex acts on impulse quite often and it gets him in hot water sometimes. He'll do unexpected things even if there's a little voice in his head niggling at him to not do it. He'll do it. And won't regret a thing. Be this something simple as state that your new haircut is hideous or steal a passionate kiss in the middle of the street.
- Naïve: Alex trusts too easily and gets his heart broken too often. You'd think with twenty-one years under his belt he'd be less childish but that doesn't seem to be the case. He's not the most mature person you'll ever come across and, yes, he's like a bit kid at times: open, trusting and guileless.
- Promiscuous: Okay. Alex is immature in certain ways but then there's other things which he's no fumbling stranger around. He went through a period of his life when the only game he knew was musical beds and it's turned into a habit that's proving hard to kick. The sad thing though is that, sometimes, he confuses some feelings for genuine love and, y'know. It hurts. But he still doesn't learn.
- Idiot: He's not the sharpest tool in the box nor the brightest bulb around. But he gets by. Call him blonde and a slow, painful death awaits you.
- Unreliable: A bit of advice? Don't trust Alex with anything. Whether it be to remind you of something or to keep something safe. Just don't do it. It can only end badly. He doesn't mean to let people down by purpose though, he just forgets things. Often. And easily.

OTHER INFORMATION HISTORY: At a first glance, you wouldn’t be able to tell that Alex had a rather troubling past. The guy does well to hide it, ignore it and move on. He doesn’t let himself dwell on what unfair things may have happened to him because, in the end, Alex doesn’t want to live in the past. He wants to live for the present and letting old memories and scars haunt him wouldn’t allow that to be possible. Plus, he doesn’t want to be a downer for everyone and he doesn’t want any of their sympathy because what’s happened, happened. And it’s not like there’s much to be done about it now. Alex literally grew up in a garden. His parents were very free and very in touch with nature. Although they didn’t own a florist, people still came to their property to buy flowers. They owned a large garden on the outskirts of a forest and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The plants they grew there were always vibrant and healthy and it was no secret either, so people would come to purchase them. This is where Alex’s love and appreciation for beauty in flowers began. Alex’s parents – Holly and Raven – weren’t the strictest parents anyone could have. They were extremely laidback and this inevitably contributed to their older son going off the rails and dragging Alex with him. Zach – or Crow, as he was nicknamed – was older than Alex by two years but acted as if the gap was much wider. Alex – nicknamed Jaybird – was a naïve and childish for a thirteen year old whereas Crow acted, and looked, as if he were around eighteen or so. When Crow made friends in the city with an undesirable group of people this was a recipe for disaster. There are probably many reasons why Crow chose to go down the path that he did. The most likely one is jealousy. Alex was the one being constantly babied by his parents although Crow wasn’t that much older than him. He wanted that sort of attention. He wanted to have his hair fawned over by their mother like Alex’s and he wanted to be taught how to tailor clothes like how their father showed Alex. Crow, without even realizing it, began to hate his own brother. He loathed everything, right from his quirky, weird clothes to his merry, light chuckle. And Alex was blissfully unaware of this. He was so oblivious that when Crow invited him downtown when he was just fourteen of course he was going to go. His big brother was asking him to hang out with him and his friends who, in Alex’s young eyes, were cool people! They dressed cool, spoke cool and just oozed cool. Holly and Raven didn’t see anything wrong about the two brothers spending more time together so they allowed it. Their ignorance fired Crow up even more. When Crow and Jaybird didn’t return that night, they worried though. In the morning the police were called. By the third day with no news about their sons, Raven was reticent and Holly was inconsolable. Alex was found shuffling by a secondary, country road, in his underwear and in his long blouse, his blonde hair untied and tickling his scratched, bare heels, wide-eyed and pale, clutching a letter close to his chest. He never said what happened in those five days but it wasn’t needed. Between tests in the hospital and physical examinations, the police were able to draw up an exact guess of what had gone on. And it wasn’t pretty. Crow, unable to face his parents or his brother again, had fled, leaving just a letter behind that asked for forgiveness. Crow's friends also seemed to have disappeared and were never caught. None of this was ever spoken of again. The rest of Alex’s teenage life breezed by. His parents were a bit more protective of him but they were also more accepting of Alex’s flamboyant and flirty nature. They didn’t mind that he brought friends back from school to stay the night. Well. Maybe not to just stay the night. They knew what their son was up to, they weren’t idiots any more, but they were okay with it. It was the least they could do seeing as they never let Alex venture out into town alone or even with friends. Alex would ask to be let into the city but the answer was always the same: no. Jay knew never to question it though. When he turned twenty-one though, his parents couldn’t say no anymore. He was an adult and no longer a child they could hide under their wing. The day Alex asked to leave home, all they could do was oblige their son’s wishes and let him live his life, even if it broke their hearts to see him go. Alex never went to the city though. Although he’s good at ignoring the nightmarish things that happened, he can’t bring himself to set foot in busy towns like those. So he headed for a village one of his friends talked about once. It seemed like a nice place to set up a flower shop. FEARS: - The dark
- Dogs
- Dogs barking at him
- Barking dogs getting into his house on a dark night
- Being alone
- Feeling unwanted
- Open water
HOBBIES: - Gardening
- Playing guitar
- Messing around with his hair
